Please note: Participants must contact the Sheraton (or alternative housing) directly to make their room reservations.

The Sheraton Boston Hotel PREMUS ROOM BLOCK IS NOW FULL!
39 Dalton Street
Boston, Massachusetts 02199
+1 800 325-3535 (reservations)
+1 617 236-2000 (hotel direct line)
Rate: $139 Single/Double + 12.45% tax

Rooms have been set aside at this reduced rate until 25 July, 2007. Reservations should be made when you receive your registration and payment confirmation. Please mention PREMUS and the Harvard School of Public Health to receive the special rate. If you plan to extend your accommodations up to three days before or after the conference, please call Sheraton reservations at +1 800 325-3535 and ask for the PREMUS block.

The Sheraton is about 1.6 miles from the Conference Center at Harvard Medical — the trip takes approximately 10 minutes by taxi, 20 minutes by bus or subway, or 30 minutes to walk. The Conference Center is located near the Green Line “E” branch of the subway (the “T”), as well as the #39 bus. From the hotel, you can get on either of these by walking southeast on Dalton St., turning left on Belvidere St., and left again on Huntington Avenue (also called “Avenue of the Arts”), where both the bus stop and Prudential T station are located — about a 5-minute walk. The closest stop for both subway and bus is Longwood Medical Area (Longwood Avenue). Walk down Longwood Avenue toward the hospitals and take a right on Avenue Louis Pasteur; the Conference Center will be on your left — about a 5-minute walk from the Longwood Avenue stop.. Transportation

Public Transportation

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA)
www.mbta.com
617-222-3200

The easiest and most economical way to travel is to use the MBTA — either the bus or the subway ("T") — and purchase a 7-Day LinkPass. This pass costs $15 and gives you unlimited travel on subway, local bus, as well as the inner harbor ferry and commuter rail zone 1A. You can purchase a LinkPass at any full-service in-station fare vending machine; the most convenient location for PREMUS attendees is the Prudential T station on the corner of Belvidere St. and Huntington Avenue, just a few minutes’ walk from the Sheraton. (Note that one-way fare for bus is currently $1.50 each way, and one-way fare for the subway is $2.00.)

Taxi Services

Please call 10 minutes ahead.

Metro Cab 617-782-5500
Top Cab 617-266-4800
Boston Cab 617-536-3200

Parking

Visitors are strongly encouraged to use public transportation. Street parking is extremely scarce around the Conference Center. There are some public lots on Longwood Avenue (Children’s Hospital at 300 Longwood and the Galleria Parking Garage at 350 Longwood) that charge high fees and become full quickly.
